Yeah you say that america did not want this? I knew what i was voting for the whole time, although I wish the private health insurance sector was totally destroyed and a single payer system was adopted this is still a for -private system but its one step closer to the ideal. What did you think you were going to get with voting for Obama? He said in the debate that he would try to push healthcare reform, the exact healthcare reform that was passed yesterday. I'm glad to see that he did do what he said he was going to do. I hope this hurts neo-cons, your ideology takes another blow.
Anonymous, if you don't want to live in a Constitution based ideology land you should leave. Seriously, the single payer system isn't working anywhere; Germany, Canada, England. With this passed, we are all going to be hurting you idiot.
The Progressives can revel in their victory but time will show the real fruits of this sham. As Margaret Thatcher said, "Socialism is a great idea until you run out of other people's money." The people who want their "free" money and Nanny State will turn on Obama and his ilk when the money runs out, and rest assured it will run out! This law combined with other unfunded entitlements will bankrupt our country. Hopefully then, people will turn back to the principles of our REPUBLIC that have sustained us for 234 years.
Despite the intensity of your feelings - the rest of the country is not with you. Tea Partiers don't seem to get it; A majority of Americans voted for this president. A majofity of Americans voted for this congress. And a majority of Americans support this health care reform bill.
The loud squeeky wheel does not win the day in a democracy. The majority wins the day.
We lose an election and your guy starts two wars. You lose an election and our guy passes health care reform.
America, did not tell him no. A bunch of bedwetting Neo-Confederates waved a bunch of silly misspelled signs, you thought that was America?
