Russ Carnahan Laughed At By Forum Audience.

After Russ loses in November he should try his hand at stand up comedy......Dude gets laughs.
By the way, the guy putting Russ in his place is Republican Candidate Ed Martin. You can donate to his campaign here.

This isn't the first time Russ has been laughed at by his constituents in a forum setting. The following video is from last year during the Obamacare debate.

  1. I may be wrong, but wasn't Russ the one who claimed "teabaggers" torched his office, when it really was one of his staffers?

  2. Russ voted for stimulating green energy, sis Robin supports stimulating green energy, bro Joe got 100 millions of your money to stimulate his green energy. All in the f**king family.

  3. Lets be honest, When did the Congressman blame anybody?

  4. When did Carnahan blame anybody? He started off by saying, "If Bush had privatized Social Security..." The implication was that Republicans in general and Bush in particular are bad on economic issues. That's ALWAYS the democrat line. Yet, who's in charge now? And how's all that hope and change working out?

Anyone who says that Social Security is in fine shape deserves to be laughed at, because obviously that's a joke.

  5. "Social Security" was sold to the American people with the promise that it would guarantee the comfortable retirement of all Americans -- and would consist of a government-enforced, and hence perfectly safe, lifetime savings program whereby a small percentage of one's earnings would be set aside in a safe, secure, government "trust fund" and then made available to the individual as a source of retirement income to support him in his old age.

It sounded like a reasonable idea. It was a lie.

There is no "trust fund" -- the social security taxes one pays today are used to fund the fed's bloated, massive welfare state, including paying a pitiful monthly amount to the elderly. No one can retire on what social security pays, no matter that one pays a lifetime of taxes into the system and no matter that one's employers pay a matching amount -- money which otherwise would probably be part one's own pay.

Social security in practice, then, is only one more excuse to drain a worker of a portion of his earnings for life, thereby making it impossible for millions to actually save for their own retirement. Instead, they are turned into elderly dependents on government's willingness to loot the next generation to get the funds to support this generation's old folks.

Nothing on earth justifies this system of lifetime-looting, and hearing a looter like Carnahan defend it is enough to turn one's stomach.

  6. I’ve looked at three Tea Party blogs so far. There are three debaters and not one has mentioned the candidate sitting on the right of the screen. From other videos, he sounds like a conservative and deserves some acknowledgement from a movement that advocates conservative politics. I have hopes that eventually we’ll break away from the two-party, win-at-any-cost mentality. It is too powerful, too corrupt and too exclusive. The third man is Nicholas Ivanovich from the Constitution party. I know nothing about him, but I’m going to research. If he is an honest politician (which automatically disqualifies him for office), he may have my vote.

  7. Time for dim Rusty to go. Honestly how sad is it that this nitwit from Rolla got installed in Mo 3rd to represent St. Louis???? Because of his name.

Dumb as a stump. Dumber, even.

  8. Isn't 'honest politician' an oxymoron?

  10. The BIG Joke is the voters who elect these clowns

  11. Was at the debate between the three candidates. The Constitution Party candidate was really good and so was Ed. I will vote for Ed because a vote for the other guy will help Carnahan. BTW, Carnahan was the only guy who said he was against term limits. That says it all.

  12. My question was in response to Edwards comment, "I may be wrong, but wasn't Russ the one who claimed "teabaggers" torched his office, when it really was one of his staffers?"

  13. Michael -

I completely agree with your statement on Social Security. I am ALL for privatizing it - or just doing away with the entire theory. I am 55 years old and laughed when I heard it stated that Social Security funds were in a LOCK BOX (I believe it was Al Gore). WE need to be in charge of our lives, including planning for our golden years and if that means planning ahead or counting on charity - it's up to us.

If our country has to be brought to it's knees to become SELF sufficient - so be it.

I need to research Martin's comments and belief of NOT privatizing Social Security. I think that there is a good plan (out there somewhere) where this could be done in a FAIR way for the folks that have paid in and are currently receiving checks, for those that are approaching that time, and for the younger people that are just beginning their work years. Retirement funds should never be anywhere near a politician's grasp.

  14. Let's see...Carnahan thinks privatization of Social Security would have been a BAD thing? It would have been a BAD thing for people to invest in the stock market? Isn't it GOVERNMENT that caused the stock market to crash by backing bad home loans with taxpayer money? What if people had invested their SS money in private businesses (some of which make it, some don't - no guarantees) - wouldn't that have created JOBS...so more people could make money...so people could actually afford to buy a house without the government backing up their loan?

  15. I think that privatizing Social Security is a great idea. We see how well the government handles our money..S.S. is BROKE!
"The 3nd candidate", Nick Ivanovich with The Constitution Party, supports privatization also.

  16. No mention of "Third Party Guy"? Nick Ivanovich, Constitution Party candidate. (notice the 'contribute' link at the end of the post) NICE touch.
